Whatever your reason for blogging, be it to be heard by the people around you, or be it for money - the popularity of your blog is important. There is always an exception though - if your blog is private - then again the very fact that you are reading this post, means that you want a popular blog. The only requirement is that your sentences are coherent and understandable by your audience. Blog readers want sensible , interesting and relevant articles on the topics of their choice, If they want to read prose or poetry they may as well be reading Shakespeare.
